Amaircare 4000 VOC Chem with HEPA Airwash Air Purification System, a commercial grade air scrubber, that focuses on particulate and VOCs, gases, & odors. This is a top quality, heavy duty portable air purifier for a wide variety of industrial applications: construction & renovation, fire & mold remediation, property rooms & evidence rooms,marijuana dispensaries, welding and print shops, among many others.

Coverage for 18,000 ft³ (provides 1 ACH/hr). Comes with a 5 YEAR Limited Warranty.

The Amaircare 4000 VOC Chem with HEPA focuses on particulate matter and VOCs, gases and odors primarily and uses the 16" HEPA filter and the 16" Annual Plus Filter Kit which contains a 7 lb canister of carbon for adsorption.

However, if your interested in solely the filtration of heavy VOCs, gases, and odors, we recommend choosing the Amaircare 4000 VOC Chem with the 30 lb carbon canister and not HEPA found here.

Furthermore, if your needs change, you can convert your unit simply by replacing the filters with the corresponding filters for your focus.

CFM- 300 CFM

Amaircare air cleaners (air scrubbers, chem bio airwash, air wash) are individually tested to meet HEPA standards and beyond. This means that the complete air cleaner system containing the HEPA filter will remove at least 99.97% of all particles as small as 0.3 microns (1/300th the size of a human hair or 0.000012 of an inch) that enter the air cleaner and are also 99.96% efficient at 0.1 microns. The 4000 is built to provide air filtration for large commercial spaces.

Comes with a 5 YEAR Limited Warranty. Also known as AirWash.

Filter section is easy to access for maintenance.

Filter Maintenance Recommendations

1st Stage
- Foam Prefilter: Check every 3 months, vacuum or handwash as needed.
- Replace Yearly
2nd Stage
- HEPA Cartridge: Check every 2 years. Replace when outside surface of media is dark in color.
- Replace every 2-5 years
3rd Stage
- VOC Canister
- Replace every year or when there is a noticeable increase of odors.

There are 2 configurations for the 4000:

Particulate Focus & VOCs, gases & odors (Shown) - This unit is referred to as 4000 VOC Chem with HEPA Airwash Air Purification System and is shown as a separate item to avoid confusion. This unit uses a prefilter and 7 lb carbon canister along with a HEPA filter for the particulate filtration as well as VOCs, gases, & odors.
Heavy VOCs, gases, & Odors - This unit is frequently referred to as 4000 VOC Chem Airwash Air Purification System with 30 lb carbon canister. This unit uses a prefilter and a 30 lb carbon canister called Ultra VOC filter kit and does not use a HEPA.

**Something to keep in mind is that the machines are identical, the filters vary based on filtration needed. With this in mind, if the usage changes with time, you can simply change your filter configuration to match your filtration needs.

Generally speaking, the more air changes per hour (ACH) you can provide, the more effective a HEPA filter can be.
1 ACH provides excellent air cleaning results (higher is recommended for people with sensitivities).
Remember: More HEPA is better than less, but some HEPA is better than nothing at all.

Every time I'm working in my shop I think of you and the expertise and help you provided.

Before installation of the system you configured for me (my initial review below) my shop and our entire basement smelled of machine oil that emanated from my CNC lathe. After I installed the system you configured for me not only do I not smell machine oil or the VOCs being released from the acrylic as its temperature increases during the machining process. My shop and our basement no longer has that smell at all!

As you suggested, I leave the unit on 24x7 at a slow RPM to increase the soak time through the charcoal element.

And because our home's HVAC system draws some air from my shop I'm certain our whole home is more safe, too.

5.0 Expert guidance and a healthy machine shop to work in 09/07/2019 By Paul My application is within a small machine shop located within my home. I machine various types of acrylic plastics on a CNC lathe that emit fine dust and VOCs throughout the process; this "cloud" is within 12 inches of my face. I found Barb at US Air Purifiers to be hugely helpful in understanding my concern for the long-term negative effects to my health of breathing these airborne particles and chemical vapors. She asked excellent questions to land upon recommendation for this product especially configured for my situation. The feeling of having her subject matter expertise and recommendation was and remains amazing. The unit was very simple to setup. After positioning the unit behind and to the left of the lathe chuck, I tested the draft airflow with fine talc flicked from a small brush right where the acrylic rod is machined. I watched as the simulated "cloud" was pulled away from me and into the Americare. I am EXTREMELY happy with everything start to finish. Thank you, Barb!
