Returns and Exchanges

In some rare instances, you may need some help with a return. Don't worry! The following information will help you process your return. If you have any specific questions pertaining to a supplier's return policy, feel free to contact our suppliers directly too. 

Since we carry a wide realm of brands and follow our manufacturers' return policies, we always recommend inquiry with us if you have questions.  Although we follow the manufacturers' rules/guidelines, we do offer exceptions at times and are happy to discuss options with you.

Exceptions to Returns:   We do not accept returns for commercial units, international orders, custom designs, installed / HVAC systems, 220V units, Electrocorp, or bulk shipments.  Opened filters and bulbs cannot be returned.  Products over 30 days old cannot be returned even if they are 1. the wrong product, 2. client changes their mind or doesn't need it any more 3. or unused etc.  We follow our manufacturers' rules so please check out the units when you receive them to ensure everything is correct.

International Orders: Please be aware warranties are only valid in North America.  If you have any questions, please contact us.  For overseas orders, there are no warranties or returns.  Some suppliers will make an exception if the unit is broken internally but this is a case-by-case situation.  Usually, if this occurs, the supplier will repair the unit while the client is responsible for the shipping (both to the supplier and back to the client).

Electocorp:  Please note that Electrocorp is an exception to the return policy.  Electrocorp has a firm no return policy and a 1 year warranty on all products.  We understand that these commercial grade units are an investment so we take extra measures to assure that our customers are well-educated about the unit(s) they are purchasing such as speaking directly with the Electrocorp representative and/or engineer. These extra steps have worked well for our customers because our customers have never wanted to return an Electrocorp product.

Unopened Merchandise:  You may return any unopened air purifiers and accessories purchased from US Air Purifiers LLC within 30 days of your delivery date for a full refund of the products less shipping if the manufacturer allows returns. You will be responsible for the shipping and shipping costs of the return back to us. Your shipping costs for the return back to us are non-refundable. A restocking fee may be required and is the buyer's responsibility. The restocking fees vary by brand and are estimates.  The supplier will determine the exact amount upon inspection of the unit.

Full refund is defined as a refund of the total amount of your original order, including taxes and excluding shipping. Expedited shipping costs above and beyond our "FREE" ground shipping offer are non-refundable. This would only apply when an expedited shipping method is used in place of the "FREE" ground shipping.

Opened Merchandise  As part of our Satisfaction Guarantee, opened air purifiers (including the standard or optional filters and other accessories that came within the packaged unit) can be returned within 30 days of your delivery date for a full refund if the manufacturer allows returns. You will be responsible for the shipping and shipping costs of the return back to us. Your shipping costs for the return back to us are non-refundable.

Full refund is defined as a refund of the total amount of your original order, including taxes and excluding shipping. Expedited shipping costs above and beyond our "FREE" ground shipping offer are non-refundable. This would only apply when an expedited shipping method is used in place of the "FREE" ground shipping.

Opened air purifier replacement filters and other replacement accessories will not be accepted for return. (There may be exceptions to this policy and you should contact us for your particular situation.)

Opened air purifiers returns must be in a salable condition with original materials and packaging. Charges may be incurred in the event that the merchandise is deemed unusable. If deemed unusable, you will be notified by us immediately and given options on how to proceed. 

Restocking Fee:  Restocking fees vary by supplier.  Restocking fees may be greater if the supplier deems the products are not in a salable condition, if the products do not have the original packaging, and/or there is no RMA number on the box.  Some examples of standard restocking fees are $50 Austin, 20% Field Controls, 25% Airpura, 25% Amaircare, and 25% AllerAir.  The standard restocking fee may be waived, but it is on a case by case basis.  If an exception is made for a return such as but not limited to a return of a custom order, bulk order, HVAC / installed unit, or 220V unit, these orders may have a higher restocking fee (>25% or more) so it is always best to ask if you have any questions.  

AllerAir Units:  Since these are custom made units from Canada, we default to AllerAir's return policy as shown below:

Customers may return unused or unopened products within 15 days of receipt with no product restocking charges.  Should a customer be unsatisfied with a product purchased from AllerAir, the customer may return or exchange the product within 30 days. All opened units are subject to a 25% restocking charge. Filters are NOT to be returned with any used or open unit."

Shipping Items Back:  In those situations where it is your responsibility to ship items back at your own expense, we highly advise you to insure the package up to the value of the items within the package. The insured value should equal the dollar amount of the original order that you are returning. If you have any questions about properly insuring and shipping your item, please contact us shipping the items for clarification.

Insuring your return shipment to us will protect you if the package is lost or damaged in transit back to our location. We are not responsible for items lost or damaged in transit to us. It is your responsibility to ensure that items return to us in a saleable condition in order for us to process your full refund for the return.  Please see the section below named “Scheduling a Return” for the step required to return your item and to obtain a Return Authorization Number.

Shortages / Missing Items:  If you happen to be missing any items from your order, please contact us by email or phone immediately so that we can rectify the situation with your order.

Wrong Items Shipped:  If we or one of our manufacturers happens to ship you the wrong products, different that the product that you ordered, please contact us immediately to set up an exchange at no cost to you. We will arrange and pay for the exchange due to the error.

 

Items Ordered in Error:  Please pay close attention to your order and what you order from our website. If you order the wrong items from our website or an item that you did not intend to order, you will be allowed to make an exchange provided you are able to meet our return guidelines.  You will be responsible for shipping the incorrect items back to us at your own expense for an exchange of the correct items. This return at your own expense is non-refundable.

To avoid this situation, please contact us by phone or email prior to your order for assistance. This will ensure that you order and receive the correct items that you want.

Damaged Products: If you suspect (but are not sure) your product was damaged in shipping, go ahead and inspect the contents inside. In many cases, the box may be slightly damaged but the product is fine.

If your product does arrive damaged, contact us immediately so we can arrange for an exchange.

You must notify us of any shipping damage within 7 days after receiving the merchandise so we can process the appropriate claims with the shippers or manufacturers.

If you DO NOT notify us within 7 days, you will be deemed to have accepted the merchandise in its current condition and it may only be returned or exchanged if it meets our return guidelines.

Defective Products:  We encourage you to test your air purifier or accessories within 7 days of receipt so we can quickly remedy any mechanical problems. If you think your air purifier is defective, don't worry. In most cases, the issue is a simple remedy that can be resolved over the phone instead of coordinating a return or exchange. However, if an exchange is required, contact us or the manufacturer's customer service department so an exchange can be arranged for you. When an equal exchange is needed for a damaged product, you are not responsible for the shipping or any restocking fees. You will be issued a return label to cover shipping costs.

Please consult your Owner's Manual for manufacturer's contact information or visit our Warranty Service section for contact info. Have your model number and serial number available for fastest service.

Scheduling a Return:  To schedule an item for return, please e-mail us at contactus@usairpurifiers.com or call us at 888-231-1463 in order to properly coordinate the return for you.

You will receive further instructions and a Return Authorization Number from us to better coordinate your return. Any returns sent back to us without a Return Authorization Number, will not be accepted and will be refused delivery.

Exchanges:  If within the first 30 days of ownership and as part of our Satisfaction Guarantee you are not happy with the air purifier product(s) you purchased, rather than coordinating a straight return of the product(s), let us work out an exchange for your order with another product from our store. There are no strings attached and you still get our Satisfaction Guarantee on the new product, as well. We want to make you happy and find the right air purifier to meet your needs. Sometimes an exchange gives you another chance to get it right.
