Product Description
Many of our units can be customized with a UV for food storage warehouses, laboratories, and other facilities where microorganisms, bacteria, viruses or mold are an issue. UV works by breaking down microorganisms and disrupting their DNA, hindering their ability to reproduce.
When biological contaminants enter a home or building, they can quickly spread and may cause or aggravate health problems such as allergies, nausea, respiratory diseases and asthma. An air purifier with a Super HEPA filter and activated carbon can trap many of these contaminants, but an air purifier with Super HEPA filter and a UV light is even more effective.
UV disinfection is an effective way to decontaminate the air. The germicidal light breaks down harmful micro-organisms that pass through the rays, converting otherwise irritating pathogens, pollen and mold spores into harmless inert byproducts.
Ultraviolet light has been scientifically proven to reduce mold, fungus, viruses and other microscopic organisms that thrive indoors. It does not leave any residue or odors and the method has been used for decades by the medical industry to neutralize harmful micro-organisms. The food processing industry also utilizes UV light to keep bacteria such as listeria at bay.
