Airpura Filters and Accessories

PLEASE NOTE:  The Airpura 6-series and 7-series use the same filters.  The 7-series does not affect the filters at all: just the motor of the initial unit.

  • Airpura's SuperHEPA used in the 614 and 714 models is 99.99% effective for .1 microns.
  • Airpura's standard HEPA used in the 600 and 700 models is 99.97% effective for .3 microns.
  • Airpura's HEPA Barrier used in models with 26 lbs of carbon is 95% effective for 1 microns.

For best filtration and the healthiest environment, it is recommended to routinely clean/change your Airpura filters on a regular basis.

Typically, a unit is run constantly (24*7, 365 days a year) on low to medium.  With standard environmental contaminants and usage, it is recommend to change the filters as follows:

Prefilters - varies by unit, up to 1 year.
Tar Barriers - average use areas 3-4 months, high use areas minimum every month
HEPA - 3-5 years
HEPA Barrier - 12 months
Carbon - 2 years
Hi-C Carbon - 4-6 months
 
The level of contaminants and health concerns play an important role in the frequency of Airpura filter changes.  As you use your unit, you will become familiar with what is best for your personal situation.
